Why is my compressed file larger?
If your PDF contains only text (no images), or was already heavily optimised, the compressed version may be similar in size or slightly larger. This is normal — Ghostscript re-encodes all streams for maximum compatibility, and text-only PDFs have little room for further compression.

Is my PDF safe to upload?
Yes. Files are uploaded over HTTPS, processed in an isolated temporary directory, and deleted immediately after your download link is generated. We never read, store, or share your documents.
What's the maximum file size?
Up to 50 MB per file. For larger files, upgrade to Pro or use the desktop version of Ghostscript.
Will compression affect text quality?
No — text in PDFs is stored as vector data and is never downsampled. Only embedded images and duplicate fonts are compressed. Text will remain crisp at any zoom level.
Can I compress a password-protected PDF?
